For many who are looking to buy their first motorcycle, the options seem endless and the investment can seem steep. It may seem like you need to save up for months or even years before you’re able to purchase your dream bike, but it doesn’t have to be that way! With the Bajaj Qute, you can have that bike under your seat almost immediately, without breaking the bank. Check out some of the reasons why this new model may be worth your investment.

What is it?

Well, it’s a two-wheeler motorbike. And by that we mean it has two wheels and a motor. Technically, there are many other two-wheelers in India that are used for motorcycling but they don’t have an engine. They come with scooters, bikes and others too. This is different from them because of its engine; plus, bajaj qute price is also not very high for its standards – more on that later. Oh! What did we say about ‘technicalities’? Sorry! Please let us talk about what really matters here – performance!

How much does it cost?

The much-awaited bajaj qute is now available in dealerships all over India. While it’s been a long wait for bike enthusiasts across India, they can now add their name to get one of these bikes, but with a little patience you might just be able to get it for under 10 lakhs. So if you’re looking for your first bike and want something stylish yet affordable then why not give bajaj’s newest offering a try? read more…

Fuel efficiency and price

If your ride takes you on a lot of short trips—which doesn’t make a great deal of sense, but it happens—the Qute’s mileage ratings could save you plenty of money at gas stations. As previously mentioned, its new engine is efficient and will return 43 kmpl in city and 51 kmpl on highways. For comparison, Maruti Suzuki’s Alto 800 can only return 41 kmpl in cities and 37 kmpl on highways. And if you’re looking for value for money (we are), then you might want to consider that price wise too, it fares well compared to other small cars like Maruti Suzuki’s Alto 800, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent.

Has it won any awards?

The bajaj qute won three awards in 2013 for its safety features. It was recognized as a Top Safety Pick by IIHS, received a 5 star rating from Global NCAP and also received a Gold Award from iF Design. These prestigious recognitions have made it an extremely attractive vehicle to purchase; while they may not be enough to make you choose one over another motorcycle brand, they are a sign of Bajaj’s focus on safety and quality.

Competitors

The RE60 is set to compete with two-wheelers on very high volumes. In 2015, more than 70 lakh two-wheelers were sold in India—and that number is expected to grow by nearly 10% a year over the next five years. In other words, while your investment won’t be small, it’s probably worth it: The scooter market is massive, growing and only getting more crowded. If you can build a loyal customer base in a good part of that market, you can start making money hand over fist (or wheel over wheel). No pressure, though.

FAQs

Bajaj is one of India’s oldest and most trusted companies. It has been around for more than 130 years, and it offers everything from rickshaws to motorcycles to sewing machines—but today we’re going to focus on its scooters. Specifically, we’ll be talking about Bajaj’s newest offering: The Qute. This bike isn’t brand new (it debuted in 2013), but its debut was overshadowed by a number of other similar offerings in a fiercely competitive space. Is it worth your investment? Let’s find out!

Looks like a scooter but…

The Bajaj RE60 is a unique scooter that looks like a car, but actually operates like a motorcycle. This three-wheeler provides easy maneuverability and has surprisingly good acceleration. It also features an optional seat that turns it into a car for when you need to transport other passengers. It’s versatile and performs well in different conditions, making it ideal for both urban areas and rural regions where roads aren’t always smooth. While it’s not as affordable as its competitors, you can save on gas and maintenance by skipping your next car purchase; if you’re looking for something more affordable that gets great gas mileage, check out the Mahindra Centuro instead.

Maintenance costs

While both of these scooters have similar running costs, you’ll pay a lot more for repairs on a vehicle that weighs about 600 pounds more than its competition. Repairing a scooter is expensive, but is it worth it to spend almost twice as much for repairs? Do your research on maintenance costs before you decide which model to buy. Bajaj offers good value in terms of performance and fuel efficiency—but spending thousands on service isn’t going to save you any money. In fact, it might end up costing you more in the long run. Consider getting into a cheaper option with fewer features if your main concern is saving money.
